The New Album - "Raydiation 2" By Ray J

R&B artist Ray J released his new single "Last Wish" from his fifth studio album Raydiaton 2. Joining forces again with producer Rodney Jerkins, the track is reminiscent of the 2005 Billboard hit "One Wish. 

Over a soft piano, Ray makes an apologetic plea to rekindle an old flame and declare a stronger love in the future, a definite Darkchild production. This track debuts after over a 2 year hiatus from music since his 2008 project All I Feel. However, not far from the limelight, the Cali native starred in VH1's reality shows "For The Love Of Ray J" and "Brandy And Ray J: A Family Business."  

While perfecting his forthcoming project, the 29-year-old is rumored to be working on a collaborative LP with his big sis Brandy due out later this year. There is no set release date for Raydiation 2, but it set to make its mark sometime in February 2011.
According to Ray, Rodney Jerkins is his favorite producer to work with because of his true understanding of an artist.

“Rodney Jerkins is the greatest to me as far as putting together a body of work, understanding an artist and understanding the craft and hard work it takes to put together a body of work. He's my favorite producer to work with and I'm happy that he and I executive produced this project and we're gonna come out so strong.”

Admitting it's an “honest song”, Ray says he originally wanted to release another track to the masses but chose a record that was synonymous with his personal life.

“Last Wish” is a very important song to me because it's an honest song. I had a single called “One Thing Leads To Another” which is a smash featuring Pit Bull and we were gonna release that record first but with what I was going through with my relationship, I decided to go with this song first.

This song is just about my last wish to take care of my responsibilities and stand up as a man and take care of my girl but sometimes it's hard to reknew that trust. It's about any last wish anyone could have from any angle. From love, from pain, from hurt, what's your last wish? The metaphors could be so much more.”

Raydiation 2, Ray says that it will include several Hip-Hop features but most importantly will display his true vocal ability.

“I got a few rappers on it Gucci Mane, Ludacris, Pitbull, but this album is just a personal album to me. I don't' think people a lot of people understand how passionate music is to me, how gifted I am vocally. You hear my sister and you know my sister comes with it vocally so I just wanna showcase my true talent to everyone. I'm not just about television shows and reality TV, this music is very important to me. “
