A Round Of Applause!!! Your favorite celebs are rising from the dead.
Following last week’s launch of Keep a Child Alive "Digital Death" Campaign, more than $1 million has been raised to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa and India, putting them in the clear to sign back on to Twitter and Facebook.
The bulk of the money was raised in the last day thanks to a large donation by pharmaceutical billionaire Stewart Rahr. “So stoked to be back on twitter! Special shout out to Stewie Rah Rah for his generous donation,” tweeted Ryan Seacrest.
Artists including Justin Timberlake, Usher, Lenny Kravitz, Swizz Beatz, Jennifer Hudson, and more pledged their digital lives in order to reach their goal of $1 million. The public is still encouraged to donate and sacrifice their own digital lives in hopes of raising money for those afflicted with the virus.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of the fans, friends and artists who stood together for this cause and saved real lives,” stated Keys, who co-founded KCA. “I am humbled by the outpour of support from everyone.”
